Markus Kostka, Mouthpainter (Paraplegic)

Markus Kostka was born in 1967 in Wiesbaden. Because he lives, since his third year in Bavaria, he feels and lives like a Bavarian by birth. The life before his accident was stamped by sport and music. As a player for the football and volleyball department of the TSV  Siegesdorf only little time remained for school and other duties. There he helped himself sometimes with blues played on his organ a disappointment.

Of course his bath accident , at the age of 16 years, was a hammer blow on the head then in 1983. Paraplegia of the neck up to the foot! Everything was suddenly different, no perspective, nothing is possible! But it went on, only anyhow, directed then on small aims. With growing self-confidence and the experience that, nevertheless, what is possible, he ventured to put bigger aims. Thus he made, e.g., on his old school Abitur and studied in Regensburg psychology (he could not start his desirable study biology at that time). 9 years he worked at the university of Regensburg in the area of Road safety with main focus on human machine interaction. In the meantime, he has landed in the hotel business. There he develops in the department of HR Developement among other things online offers to the personnel training.

For his hobbies only little time often remains there. As a board of directors and cofounder of a small football association he provides for homepage, photos and public relations of 50 members. For the bunte Liga Regensburg he shoots pictures for the Internet presence. And the painting? Oh yes, for it some place remains, because after five-year break he is present again actively.
